PLP To Host Annual Founders Day On Feb 9
The PLP will be hosting their 56th Annual Founder’s Day & Drum Major Awards Luncheon on February 9th.
A spokesperson said, “The Progressive Labour Party will hold its 56th Annual Founder’s Day & Drum Major Awards Luncheon at the CedarBridge Academy Cafeteria on February 9,2020.
“The keynote address will be delivered by the newest elected MP to the House of Assembly, Pembroke Central Member of Parliament, Mr. Jason Hayward.
“We are confident that Mr. Hayward will deliver exciting and motivating remarks to all in attendance. His background as a trade unionist and statistician should give him background and context to deliver a message that should resonate and we look forward to a wonderful afternoon.”
Mr Hayward states, “It will be an honour for me to deliver this address on an occasion such as Founders’ Day. It is inherent that as a people we move forward but we must always recognize those that laid the foundation for us and put their lives and livelihoods on the line.”
“In addition to the Founder’s Day remarks, there will be Drum Major Awards presented to members of the community who have been nominated to recognize their contributions.
“Patron tickets are $100 and general admission tickets are $50. Tables can be reserved for $1000.”
