Good Friday Holiday Garbage Collection Advisory
The Ministry of Public Works is advising that due to the Good Friday holiday [April 10], garbage and recyclables normally collected on that day will be collected on Saturday, April 11, 2020.
A Government spokesperson said, “”As a reminder, Friday garbage collection areas include Smith’s Parish east of Devil’s Hole, all of Hamilton and St. George’s parishes except the Old Town. East recycling collection areas include St. George’s, Hamilton, Smith’s, Pembroke, and Devonshire parishes with the exclusion of Tee Street and Kent Avenue.
“Please place bagged garbage out for collection no later than 7:30 a.m. Recyclables must be placed out for collection in a blue or clear bag, or one of the specially marked blue wheelie bins.”
