Firefighters Extinguish Vehicle Fire In Pembroke
Firefighters extinguished a vehicle fire in Pembroke last night [June 11], with the fire causing “minimal damage” to a nearby home.
A spokesperson said, “Fire Dispatch received two calls for service on the evening of Thursday, June 11th 2020; the first at 11:25pm and the seconded at 11:31pm.
“The first call was a road traffic collision on North Shore Road, Devonshire. The appliance from Hamilton Station responded with four personnel. Upon arrival, fire crews found the driver unresponsive in a locked car. Firefighters forced entry into the vehicle to render medical care.
“The second call was a report of a vehicle fire located in Pembroke. At 11:33pm, a second appliance from Port Royal Station was dispatched to the vehicle fire. At 11:49pm the appliance from Port Royal arrived at the incident.
“Upon arrival, fire crews saw one vehicle fully involved in flames located next to a home. Firefighters quickly extinguished the vehicle fire. There was minimal damage to the structure near the window above the fire.
“This incident is being investigated by the Fire Service Investigator, who is working along with the Bermuda Police Service.”
