Bermuda Finish 14th In World Archery Americas
Bermuda’s archers finished 14th in the online Archery Cup of the Americas that was hosted by World Archery Americas.
The event saw 709 participants from countries including Argentina, Bahamas, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, US Virgin Island, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago and Uruguay.
Bermuda’s Recurve Men’s team finished 14 out of the 23 countries participating, and the Recurve Women’s team finished 14 out of the 23 participating countries.
The placement was based on the top three Archers scores combined from each country.
Coach Ross Robert said, “Although we do not have any Archers progressing forward into the elimination rounds in September, I am pleased with the results received by the team.”
Individually the archers finished as follows in their Divisions:
- Camerin Pickering – Recurve Men finished 83rd out of 250 Archers.
- Bernard Wade II – Recurve Men finished 95 out of 250 Archers.
- Jaydon Roberts – Recurve Men finished 96 out of 250 Archers.
- William Pickering – Recurve Men finished 109 out of 250 Archers.
- Robert O’Connor – Recurve Men finished 127 out of 250 Archers.
- Anthony Grant – Recurve Men finished 173 out of 250 Archers.
- Alleyne Weekes – Recurve Men finished 185 out of 250 Archers.
- Robin Selley – Recurve Women finished 118 out of 150 Archers.
- Josie DeBraga – Recurve Women finished 126 out of 150 Archers.
- Trina Roberts – Recurve Women finished 134 out of 150 Archers.
