BTA Postpones Dinner-In-White Due To Storm
The Bermuda Tourism Agency announced that due to Hurricane Paulette, the Dinner-In-White – the kick-off event for the Bermuda Alfresco Dining Festival – has been rescheduled from September 17 to September 24.
BTA Interim CEO Glenn Jones said, “Due to Hurricane Paulette, Dinner-in-White, the kick-off event for the Bermuda Alfresco Dining Festival has been rescheduled from September 17 to September 24.
“While it’s expected the Fort St. Catherine venue will be ready in time for the original date, sourcing fresh, locally harvested foods this week will be a challenge for the event’s purveyors. Visitor travel has also been disrupted by the storm.
“Therefore Dinner-in-White will take place one week later. Already purchased tickets and tickets purchased now on Premier Tickets will be honored on September 24.
“Meantime, the festival will proceed as normal. You’re encouraged to book an outdoor table right now at any one of the three-dozen participating restaurants during the 10-day festival. Also look out for spectacular alfresco festival events in Hamilton and Dockyard on September 20 and September 26 respectively [weather permitting, of course].”
