BPS Release Images Of Armed Robbery Suspect
[Updated with video] The police have released images of the suspect in the armed robbery at Somer’s Supermart in St. Georges earlier this week.
A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service is once again appealing for the public’s assistance with the ongoing investigation into an armed robbery which took place at the Somer’s Supermart in St. Georges earlier this week.
“Shortly before 6:00 a.m. on Monday, 2nd November, police received a report of a robbery at the Somer’s Supermart in St. Georges.
“It is alleged that a male brandished a firearm, forced the manager into the store and demanded cash.
“The suspect is described as 5’ 9” tall, medium built, dressed in blue jeans, a black hoody, black sneakers with a surgical mask covering his face.
“The suspect made good his escape on foot north along Duke of Clarence Street with a substantial amount of cash taken during the incident.
“The BPS is thankful to those members of the public who have so far come forward and provided information which has aided us in our efforts to bring the person responsible to justice.
“The BPS again urges that anyone who may have any information on this, to please contact 211, the main police number on 295-0011 or Criminal Investigation Unit @ 247-1744.”
