Weather Forecast For Tuesday February 2
Tuesday, February 2 is expected to be cloudy with periods of heavy rain showers & thunderstorms, with the high to be near 21°C/70°F and the low to be near 17°C/62°F, according to the Bermuda Weather Service.
Winds are expected to be SW. The relative humidity is expected to be near 89%.
Sunrise will be at 7.13am and sunset will be at 5.53pm. High tide will be at 11.37am, while low tide will be at 5.31am and 5.54pm.
The Bermuda Weather Service has issued a Thunderstorm Advisory valid through Tuesday afternoon, Gale Warning valid through Tuesday morning, and Small Craft Warning valid for Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday.
Their forecast for Tuesday says, “Cloudy with periods of heavy rain/showers & thunderstorms. Winds southerly strong to gale force gusts to storm force, with higher gusts in elevated and exposed areas, veering southwesterly strong with gusts to gale force by late afternoon. High near 21°C/70°F, low near 17°C/62°F. Clear sky UV Index forecast – 4 or moderate.”
A Government spokesperson previously said, “The Bermuda Weather Service [BWS] has advised that weather conditions are expected to deteriorate in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
“It’s anticipated that the island will experience windy and rainy conditions similar to last Friday and Saturday [Jan. 29 & 30]. According to the BWS, 25-35 knot winds, heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected to pass the island Tuesday morning into the early afternoon.
“In that regard, the Ministry of National Security is encouraging the community to exercise safety and caution as the weather conditions worsen.
“The Minister of National Security, Renee Ming notes that a disruption of public services is not anticipated. However, the public is advised to make responsible decisions, this includes using extreme care when moving about the island tomorrow.
“As a final and timely note, Minister Ming reminded the community to ensure that their storm kits are adequately stocked and up to date.
