Cycling: Flannery & Miller Record Personal Bests
Liam Flannery and Alexander Miller turned in personal best performances today at the UCI Road World Cycling Championships individual time trial in Belgium.
Flannery posted the 55th best time in 28:09, an average speed of 29.5 miles per hour, his fastest ever time trial. Miller was just 37 seconds back at 29 miles per hour for 66th place, also recording a personal best average speed.
A BBA spokesperson said, “The 22 kilometer course started along the coast in Knokke-Heist and followed a flat course to Brugge. In cycling-mad Belgium the spectators were enthusiastic supporters of our athletes, posing for pictures and watching them during their warm-up and a post-race interview with an Austrian media representative.
