Hopkins Begins Volta Ciclista A Valencia Race
Kaden Hopkins – representing Equipo Essax – recently began competing in the eleventh edition of the Volta Ciclista a Valencia in the Valencian province.
After a journey of 135 miles, Hopkins crossed the line in a time of 3:02:50, finishing 7 minutes and 19 seconds behind the lead pack. Mikel Retegi’s imposing sprint saw him claim the first leg of the Volta to the Province of Valencia with final in the town of Barxeta.
Retegi made several attempts to escape at the end; a large squad of cyclists 78 in total reached the finish with a sprint, all clocking 2:55:34.
