King & Bonanno To Join Roosevelt Road Re
Roosevelt Road Re Ltd. has appointed Duncan King and Joe Bonanno to lead their underwriting division.
A spokesperson said, “Roosevelt Road Re, Ltd. a Bermuda headquartered reinsurance company providing reinsurance for captives, insurance and reinsurance companies, managing general agencies, risk retention groups, run-off companies and other insurance-related companies has appointed Duncan King and Joe Bonanno to lead their underwriting division.
“Duncan King will join Roosevelt Road Re Ltd as Chief Underwriting Officer in early 2022 following his resignation from Argenta Group where he held the position of senior underwriter for casualty and specialty treaty.
“Duncan has worked in the Lloyd’s market for 37 years and brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and innovation. As an underwriter, he has written a broad range of classes and enjoys strong relationships in the London, US, Bermuda and International markets. He will continue to be based in London.
“Joe Bonanno has stepped into the role of Head of Reinsurance Bermuda, and Senior Vice President of Underwriting, and will report directly to Dan Hickey, CEO of RRRe, until Duncan’s contractual obligations with Argenta Group have been completed.
“Joe’s experience and knowledge of working in the market from a Bermuda perspective along with the key contacts he has developed there and, in the States, will add significant value and dove-tail with Duncan’s relationships to ensure that all bases are covered and provide optimum service for brokers and clients alike. Joe most recently served as the Chief Underwriting Officer of Brit Reinsurance [2018-2021] where he headed up the Bermuda office from 2013 to 2021.”
On joining RRRe, Mr Bonanno commented, “I’m excited for this opportunity to join the team at Roosevelt Road Re Ltd.
