Match Play Championships Quarter Finals
The 1st round and quarter final matches of the Bermuda Match Play Championships took place today [Sept 11] at Port Royal Golf Course.
A spokesperson said, “The four players advancing after the quarter finals were Damian Palanyandi who beat Le Roy Robinson, Will Haddrell following his victory over Adam Perry, Jarryd Dillas with his win over Josh Cabrera and Spencer Wideman who eliminated Eric West after a closely fought match which concluded on #18. In a surprising move, the defending Champion Jevon Roberts was eliminated in the 1st round match by LeRoy Robinson.
“In the Senior Men’s Championship Division, Barry Brewer advanced to the semi-finals with a win over Millard Beach and will now face the reigning champion, Calvin Hendrickson. Craig Christensen will be paired against last year’s winner, Ian Page.
“The Ladies Stroke Play Qualifier was also played and will result in Tracy Burgess v Kim Botelho and Katrin Burnie against Katyna Rabain in the semi-final matches tomorrow morning.
