HSBC Comment On Reports Of Redundancies
“We will work closely with impacted employees who may seek further opportunities within the Bank,” an HSBC spokesperson said.
When asked about suggestions there may have been 21 redundancies at the bank, an HSBC spokesperson said: “At HSBC Bank Bermuda Limited we continuously review the roles required to make the bank fit for the future and best serve our customers.
“In line with local employment practices, we will work closely with impacted employees who may seek further opportunities within the Bank.”

Been there , done that .
What it really means is you get a reference stating how long you worked for the bank and that you are then directed to take it to an employment agency. Once you walk out of the door with that reference you will not hear from them again.
HSBC , profit before people (and that includes clients)
HSBC is giving sub standard service now..its definitely not customer friendly and the lack of cash machines around the island shows huge decline. They are always out of service or simply removed.
There is no appreciation of the regular customer. They just focus on their Corporate services…seriously thinking of changing banks. Now to read about more recundancies fills me with more frustration. Do more with less has shown not to work.
So sorry i even have to use HSBC local. You are nickel and dimming us your so called patrons with silly rates and charges, have the worst interest rates for us depositors but the highest chargeable rates for crap service fees to benefit your bottom line and to top it off your have probably the worst customer service of any local company and there are some pretty bad ones out there. If i want to speak to someone in India for help i would call them, but your overseas service are useless. And dont blame covid, your service sucks.
