Bermuda Track Trio Compete In Indoor Meets
Bermuda’s Sakari Famous, Inshan-Nae Smith, and Ketura Bulford-Trott were recently in action for their respective track and field teams.
Sakari Famous and her McNeese State Women’s Track and Field teammates displayed another solid outing in week two of the indoor track and field season when they competed at the FasTrak Collegiate Challenge.
Famous finished tied for first with a top leap of 1.72m in the Women’s High Jump; Josie Taylor from Rice and Mathilde Canet from Texas State also finished with a top leap of 1.72m.
Inshan-Nae Smith and her Livingston College Women’s Track and Field teammates competed in the Mondo College Invitational.
Smith finished 23rd in the Women’s 60m Dash, clocking a time of 8.19. She also finished 21st competing in the Women’s 200m Dash, clocking 27.51.
Smith’s final event was the Women’s High Jump, where a top leap of 1.47m saw her finish eighth overall.
Ketura Bulford-Trott and her Jacksonville University Women’s Track and Field teammates competed in the 2022 Carolina Challenge.
Bulford-Trott finished 26th in the Women’s 60 Meter Dash Preliminaries by clocking a time of 7.96.
She also won heat 15 of the Women’s 200 Meter Dash Preliminaries by clocking a time of 25.48, which saw her finish 10th overall.
