50 Tickets For Traffic Offences This Morning

The police issued 50 tickets this morning [Feb 15] for traffic offences, 37 were for speeding, three were for driving uninsured & unlicensed vehicles, two were for not having a driver’s license, and five motorists were ticketed for failing to obey traffic signs.

The Bermuda Police Service posted online saying, “Police this morning issued a total of fifty tickets for traffic offences as Operation Vega continues. Speed checks were carried out along Crow Lane, North Shore Road, Shelly Bay and Wilkinson Avenue, Hamilton Parish.

“Thirty-seven of those tickets were for speeding offences with drivers clocked at speeds ranging from 61 kilometres per hour, to 79 kilometres per hour. Slow down.

“Three people were issued tickets for driving uninsured and unlicensed vehicles, respectively, while two others were issued tickets for not having any driver’s license. A further five motorists were ticketed for failing to obey traffic signs.”

    Speeding aside , driving without any insurance is very serious but not even having a driver’s license ? ?
    It’s the wild west out there .
