Police & BFRS Respond To Two Vehicle Fires
Police and Fire personnel responded to two vehicle fires on Saturday [Feb 5], with one on Curving Avenue in Pembroke and one on Scott’s Lane North in Warwick.
Motorcycle Fire In Pembroke
A police spokesperson said, “Police and Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service [BFRS] were called out to a vehicle fire around on Curving Avenue, Pembroke, around 4:25 a.m. on Saturday, 5th February, 2022. Upon arrival, officers found the vehicle, a motorcycle, engulfed.
“The fire was extinguished by BFRS officers and the scene secured until the BFRS Investigator and officers from the Police Forensic Support Unit were able to process it.
Car Fire In Warwick
“Meanwhile at 4:30 a.m. also on Saturday, Police and BFRS officers were called out to a motorcar fire on Scott’s Lane North, Warwick. The owner was awakened by smoke entering their residence. BFRS officers put out the flames and the scene was forensically processed.
“It has been reported a person was seen in the driveway of the residence where the vehicle was located, shortly before the fire started.
“There were no injuries reported and no fire damage to other property in either incident.
Investigations
“Investigations into both matters have begun and anyone with information is asked to call 211 or, the main police number, 295-0011.”
