The Bermuda Police Service has welcomed K9 Roni and K9 Hass, and noted that PC Robin Macnab and PC Aaron Dyer took part in a six-week training program to become Police K9 Handlers.
The Bermuda Police Service posted the photos online below, and said, “In September, 2021, PC 2484 Robin Macnab and PC 2460 Aaron Dyer travelled to the prestigious Vohne Liche Kennels in Indiana, to embark on a six-week training program to become Police K9 Handlers.
“Once there, they were introduced to their new partners, Roni and Hassan, and the long process of bonding and training began.
“Roni, PC MacNab’s new K9 partner, is an almost two year old German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois Mix. He is a dual purpose K9 and will be used for drug and firearm detection, tracking, and apprehension.
“PC Dyer’s K9 Hassan ‘Hass’, is almost three years old, and is a large Dutch Shepherd. He is also a dual purpose k9, qualified in drug and firearms detection, tracking and apprehension.
