St. George’s Rotary 5K Run/Walk On April 3
The St. George’s Rotary Club is holding a 5K run/walk through St. Georges on Sunday, April 3.
A spokesperson said, “The SGRC is holding a 5K run/walk through St. Georges on Sunday, April the 3rd at 9.00am. The start/finish will be on Ordnance Island, with a small prize ceremony at the end of the event.
“This event is in honour of our PP Philip Guishard who was renowned for his commitment to the sporting community of Bermuda. He chaired an International Race Weekend for a decade, even participating in the event.
“The SGRC has had this in the plans for a few years and feels that the time is fitting to hold it with the restrictions being lifted. We’ve contacted every business in St. George’s about the event and some have donated GC for the winners and some also have offered special discounts on food items on their menus. We have also contacted every school throughout Bermuda and strongly encourage them to come out for the event.
