A Government spokesperson said, “This means that waste that was due to be collected on Monday will be picked up on Tuesday; Tuesday’s will be collected on Wednesday; Wednesday’s will be picked up on Thursday; Thursday’s will be collected on Friday, and Friday’s schedule will be collected on Saturday.
“Garbage collection will return to the regular schedule on Monday, 27 June. For the remainder of the month, recycling days are West: June 16th and June 30th; In the East: June 17th.
“The public may also use the Tynes Bay Public Drop-off facility, which is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
“The facility allows residents to dispose of household waste, tin, aluminum, and glass (TAG recyclables), hazardous materials such as paints and pesticides, and bulky burnable and non-burnable items.
“Drivers of private cars, including residents who arrive in “L” and “LP” vehicles, do not have to pay to use this facility.
“Please visit www.gov.bm/garbage-and-recycling to see the 2022 Garbage and Recycling calendar and comprehensive guidance on what should and should not be recycled.”
