Burgess & Brown Compete In US Capitol Classic
Michael Burgess and Dominique Brown recently competed at the US Capitol Classics/China Open in Washington DC.
A spokesperson said, “Following an excellent performance at the Lepercq Memorial in June, 14-year-old Michael Burgess of the Traditional Okinawan School of Karate was invited to attend the US Capitol Classics/China Open in Washington DC with sponsorship of the Bermuda Karate Organization. Supported by veteran competitor Andrea Mckey, in his first international competition, Michael achieved an excellent result of third in forms, fifth in weapons and seventh in sparring.
“Also from Bermuda at this event, 15-year-old Dominique Brown of Zenji Ryu Bermuda, a veteran of multiple tournaments in Bermuda, internationally and online, was second in form, first in weapons and third in sparring.”
