Deloitte Announces New Partner Promotions
Deloitte Bermuda has made three new partner promotions to its team, including Andy DeGregorio, Eric Wehrwein, and Ed Willmott.
A spokesperson said, “Deloitte Bermuda is pleased to announce three new partner promotions to its team. Andy DeGregorio, Partner, Tax & Legal, Eric Wehrwein, Partner, Audit & Advisory, and Ed Willmott, Partner, Financial Advisory.
“Andy joined the Tax practice at Deloitte Bermuda after working in the US. He has a wealth of US tax experience working with clients globally and domestically in the US.”
Mr. DeGregorio said, “I’m proud to accept this promotion to partner. Since joining the firm, I have seen tremendous growth within our Tax practice. I will continue to develop our people and provide valuable client service in areas such as US tax reporting for Bermuda-based entities, tax department co-sourcing, FATCA/CRS advisory, OECD global minimum tax, and Bermuda economic substance requirments.”
The spokesperson said, “After graduating from Michigan State University, Eric has worked for Deloitte in the US, UK, and Bermuda offices for over 15 years.”
Mr. Wehrwein said, “My specialization is in insurance and reinsurance, so when the chance to return to the Bermuda office and further my career was available in 2016, I was excited to seize the opportunity. I have been delighted with this decision ever since, as working and living in Bermuda has allowed me to progress my career, and I am honored to be made Partner in our Audit & Advisory team.”
The spokesperson said, “Ed joined Deloitte Bermuda in 2017 with more than 13 years of financial services experience, including trusts, audit, and tax at various UK-based firms, having specialized in insolvency, restructuring, and turnaround since 2009.”
Mr. Willmott said, “I am pleased and honored to be promoted to partner and will continue to focus on building the financial advisory practice here in Bermuda, including promoting careers in insolvency and restructuring for Bermudians.”
