X-Roads & Trojans Draw, PHC Zebras Wins
The Dudley Eve Cup Competition continued at the BAA Field with a Group B double-header which produced 8 goals.
X-Roads 2 Somerset Trojans 2
In the opener, X-Roads and Somerset Trojans drew 2 – 2. Donavan Thompson gave X-Road’s the lead in the 28th, only to have Justin Corday equalize for the Somerset Trojans in the 33rd minute.
Jaman Lottimore put X-Roads back in front in the 63rd, but Simeon Burrows leveled the score for the Somerset Trojans in the 81st minute converting from the penalty spot.
Boulevard Blazers 1 PHC Zebras 3
After a scoreless first half, the PHC Zebras took the lead when Paul Simons picked up the ball 25 yards out and blasted a shot that went in off the underside of the bar to make it 1 – 0.
Seven minutes later the Boulevard Blazers were level thanks to a goal from Kamali Davis, however the PHC Zebras went back in front in the 82nd minute after being awarded a penalty, and Marco Warren scored to the goalkeeper’s left.
In the 86th minute the PHC Zebras went up 3 – 1 after Simons scored his second goal of the game.
