‘Drifting, Unoccupied Kayak’ Recovered

A “drifting, unoccupied kayak” was spotted by a ferry, which was recovered by a vessel from Marine & Ports.

A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre received a VHF Marine radio call from the Fast Ferry Serenity, which was enroute from Hamilton to Dockyard, as it had observed a drifting, unoccupied kayak when entering Dundonald Channel, there was no signs of anyone in the area. A vessel from Marine & Ports, Aids to Navigation section, was tasked and safely recovered the kayak later in the morning.”
