Wolves, Paget Lions & Devonshire Colts Win
Wolves, Paget Lions, and Devonshire Colts claimed wins in the latest round of FA Challenge Cup preliminary football action.
Southampton Rangers 0 – Wolves 4
At the Southampton Oval, Wolves defeated the Southampton Rangers 4 – 0 to advance to the first round of the FA Challenge Cup.
Troy Tucker gave Wolves the lead in the 36th minute; they took that lead to the break. The lead was doubled by substitute Morriko Iris, who converted from the penalty spot in the 64th minute. Tucker scored his second goal of the game in the 78th minute to make it 3 – 0, and then in stoppage time, Antinori Butterfield made it 4 – 0 for Wolves.
BAA 1 – Paget Lions 2
At the BAA Field, the Paget Lions edged BAA 2 – 1 to advance to the first round of the FA Challenge Cup.
Koshun Durrant gave the Paget Lions the lead in the 26th minute, a lead they took to the break.
Jaidyn Robinson pulled BAA level with a goal in the 63rd minute, but the winner came in the 85th minute with Jelani Simmons scoring for Paget Lions.
St. David’s 0 – Devonshire Colts 1
At Lord’s in St. David’s, Devonshire Colts defeated St. David’s 1 – 0.
After a scoreless first half, Daniel Ball converted from the penalty spot to earn the Devonshire Colts a spot in the FA Challenge Cup first round draw.
