Ms Trott was called to the Bar during a ceremony in front of family and friends at the Supreme Court.

She thanked Sophia Greaves, director of the corporate department at Conyers Dill & Pearman, for playing an instrumental role in her decision at age 16 to pursue law.

Ms Trott also praised her family for “teaching me the importance of aiming high and working hard but also remaining grounded” and supporting her across 17 years of tuition.

Graduating from Saltus Grammar School in 2016, Ms Trott earned a bachelor of science degree in psychology from Nottingham Trent University, followed by a distinction in her graduate diploma in law from the University of Law in London in 2019 and a distinction in her legal practice course, also in London, in 2021.

Ms Trott, whose career will be in litigation, joined Conyers as a pupil in September 2021, alongside Nicole Yearwood and Joshua DeAllie.

She thanked her pupil masters: Jackie King, Ben Adamson, Grace Quinn and Neil Henderson, and singled out Chiara Nannini for a special mention.

Ms Trott told Puisine Judge Larry Mussenden: “I worked with Ms Nannini during my first internship at Conyers in 2020.

“Though Ms Nannini was not my formal pupil master, she has played an important role on this journey. She has always had a confidence in me that has made me feel self-assured and hopeful about where my career in law will take me. For that, I’m grateful.”

Special thanks were also given to St Paul’s Church in Paget and the Church Girls’ Brigade, with Ms Trott adding. “It is through their mentorship and guidance that I have learned the importance of perseverance and leadership, among many other qualities that I aspire to every day.”
