Taylor Carrick Wins Twice In OUA Championships
Taylor Carrick and his Western University men’s squash teammates got off to a strong start as they look to defend their title at the OUA Squash Championships.
In the men’s division, Western’s quest for a 39th consecutive OUA title started with two convincing wins.
In their opening match, Carrick and Western defeated Queens University 7 – 0. Carrick playing in the number four spot defeated Yohan Poncha 3 – 0 in 17 minutes 11-5, 11-4, 11-3.
Western then defeated Guelph University 7 – 0 in their second match, which saw Carrick defeat Mohammed Salemwalla 3 – 0, 11-5, 11-2, 11-5.
