Famous To Miss Rest Of Indoor Season

Sakari Famous said she will be fit and raring to go for the outdoor season after sustaining a back injury.
The Bermuda high jumper, who attends McNeese University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, has a stress fracture in her lower back and will miss the remainder of the indoor campaign.
“I do have to end my indoor season early as I found out an injury requires me to sit out until I’ve recovered,” Famous told Bernews.
“With rest to let it heal, I should be able to compete outdoors.”
The 22-year-old has been in fine form this season, retaining her title at the LSU Purple Tiger Meet and winning the McNeese Indoor II Meet last month. The pair of wins extended her winning streak to six meets.
