Footballers in the Premier Division and First Division were in action this weekend, with the Devonshire Cougars, Boulevard Blazers, and Devonshire Colts all earning wins.
Premier Division
St. George’s Colts 1 – Devonshire Cougars 2
The Devonshire Cougars moved to the top of the Premier Division Standings following their 2 – 1 win over the St. George’s Colts at the Wellington Oval.
The St. George’s Colts took the lead in the 5th minute when Jonte Smith found the back of the net, but in the 17th minute Che’Kai Caisey equalized for the Devonshire Cougars.
The Devonshire Cougars would take the lead in the 83rd minute when Domico Coddington converted from the penalty spot, the goal earned the Devonshire Cougars the win.
Robin Hood 1 – Boulevard Blazers 5
The Boulevard Blazers moved level on points with the Somerset Trojans with a 5 – 1 win over Robin Hood at the BAA Field.
Boulevard Blazers in a relegation battle moved onto 10 points after getting 2 goals from Akim Johnston, and single strikes from Sergio Woolridge, Omar Wilson, and Khiry Easton, while an own goal accounted for the Robin Hood goal.
First Division
Southampton Rangers 0 – Devonshire Colts 6
The Devonshire Colts traveled to the Southampton Oval and came away with a 6 – 0 win over the Southampton Rangers.
Jorj Dublin, Keino Burch, Jaquari Paynter, Daniel Ball, Torben Axelsen, and Leslie Holder all scored a goal each for the Devonshire Colts.
