Golf: Oliver Betschart Places 4th In Florida
Oliver Betschart completed his final round at Rio Pinar Country Club, Orlando, Florida, placing 4th in a field of 15 golfers.
This is a Hurricane Junior Golf Tour event which hosted international players from Asia, South America, Canada, and the USA. Competing in the 14-15 age group he posted a 78-76-77 over the par 72 course.
When asked how he felt after his final round, he said: “I played the front nine well, I was even on the turn and then made a couple of mistakes which threw me off shooting 5 over on the back, that was disappointing.
“The course is narrow and treelined, so if you made a mistake off the tee you paid for it, the greens weren’t great, and I feel I lost a bunch of shots there, but everyone plays the same course, so I know it is something that I need to keep working on.
“This is my first overseas event in about 6 months. I have one more event this weekend in Florida and then two in Texas next month, so I hope that I can keep building on this and get more experience.”
