The Berkeley Institute held a Career Fair event yesterday [Feb 2] which allowed ”students to gain exposure to various career pathways that our signatures can prepare them for.”
In advance of the event, a spokesperson said, “This Career Fair will enable current S1s and incoming students to gain exposure to various career pathways that our signatures can prepare them for. Our goal is to provide students with an opportunity to explore career options by engaging with and learning from industry partners who represent our signatures and subsequent tracks.
“As part of the Bermuda Public School System [BPSS] Reform, The Berkeley Institute now offers signature learning programs in Health and Social Care and Financial and Insurance Services.
“Students who choose the Health and Social Care Signature can eventually narrow their focus and choose from three academic tracks; Medical Sciences and Services, Holistic and Allied Health Care Services and Social Sciences and Services.
“Students who select the Financial and Insurance Services Signature choose from the following tracks; Accountancy, Insurance, Banking and Financial Services, Business Administration and Management and Financial Technology [FinTech].”
Fantastic. Gone are the days of old when we were told get ready for heaven or be a lawyer, doctor or teacher…..not a word in those days about other professions so many of us lost out. Keep on pushing the envelope and getting good results. A great idea.
We’re any hotels invited? All those signature pathways are in the hospitality field.
