Jehovah’s Witnesses To Hold Global Program
Jehovah’s Witnesses will hold a global program featuring the theme ‘You Can Face the Future with Confidence!’ on April 2, 2023.
A spokesperson said, “In the face of widespread economic strain, national conflicts and social unrest, surveys indicate that confidence in the future is at an all-time low in many countries, including Bermuda. According to the 2023 Edelman Trust Barometer, 24 of the 28 countries surveyed are seeing all-time lows in the number of people who think their families will be better off in five years.
“Many in Bermuda are facing real challenges. These challenges, coupled with an uncertain future, may seem overwhelming. Sheridan Nusum was devastated when he lost his dear wife, Freida, to COVID. He said, ‘I was thinking, how could I go on without her. She was my world.
“Andrea Carlington has also faced many trials and challenges, most recently caring for an aging parent while dealing with her own cancer diagnosis. She said, ‘Sometimes, you feel fearful and paralyzed. You feel as if you can’t cope.’”
Luke Branco, local spokesman for Jehovah’s Witnesses in Bermuda, said, “The challenges we face may seem overwhelming, but the Bible holds out a powerful hope for the future that can help us right now.”
The spokesperson said, “This powerful hope will be the topic of a special global program featuring the theme ‘You Can Face the Future with Confidence!’ The free 30-minute presentation will be held on April 2, 2023, at local Kingdom Halls of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Bermuda, with video conferencing options available. This global program gives all those who attend tangible reasons to face the future with confidence.”
Sheridan Nusum said, “Study brought me around and helped me trust in my hope of seeing my dear loved ones again.”
Andrea Carlington said, “The more I study God’s word, the stronger I am. I can express my faith and go with the strength I have, knowing God will do the rest. Knowing what the future holds means that no matter what you face now, you have hope to never give up.”
The spokesperson said, “The special presentation is the first of two free programs to be held in all 118,000 congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses during the first week of April. The public is also invited to join nearly 20 million other global attendees for the annual observance of the Memorial of Jesus Christ’s death, to be held on the evening of Tuesday, April 4th, 2023.
