Tobiah Goodchild Advances In Costa Rica
Tobiah Goodchild was back in action representing Bermuda in the Central American & Caribbean Tennis Confederation Under-14 San Jose Bowl in Costa Rica.
Goodchild advanced in both the singles and doubles on the day. He took on Antonio Martinex from Guatemala, who was the tournament’s number three seed in the singles, winning in straight sets 6-4, 6-1.
He then teamed up with Samuel Bryce from Costa Rica in the doubles, with the pair battling the number three seeds Sebastian Carvajal and Samuel Castillo, both from Costa Rica. Goodchild and Bryce needed a third set tie-breaker to clinch the win at 7-5, 5-7, 10-7.
