Jah-Nhai Perinchief Finishes Sixth In Qatar

Jah-Nhai Perinchief achieved a sixth-place finish in the men’s triple jump at the Wanda Diamond League in Doha, Qatar, yesterday [May 5].
The Bermudian posted a season-best jump of 16.86 metres in his second attempt at the Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium.
Portugal’s Pedro Pichardo claimed gold with a leap of 17.91, with Zango Hugues Fabrice, of Burkina Faso, coming second [17.81] and Cuba’s Andy Diaz Hernandez placing third [17.80].
Perinchief, who was named the Bermudian Male Athlete of the Year in March, won a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and silver at the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association Senior Championships last summer.
