Road Traffic Advisory For Bermuda Day Events
The Ministry of Public Works has issued a road traffic advisory related to Bermuda Day events which will be held on Friday [May 26].
The notice said, “The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that the Bermuda Day road race and Parade will take place on Friday, May 26th, 2023 between the hours of 8:00am and 8:00pm. The following roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic.
“Marathon Derby: Mullet Bay Road, Kindley Field Road, The Causeway, Blue Hole Hill, North Shore Road, Hamilton Parish, Middle Road, Smiths and Devonshire Parishes, Cavendish Road, Lane Hill, Crow Lane into the City of Hamilton, leaving the City of Hamilton then onto Cedar Avenue, Marsh Folly Road, Dutton Avenue and finishing at Bernard Park. This Marathon Derby Race will start at 8.30am on Bermuda Day
“Junior Classic Run: Front Street, Queen Street, Church Street, King Street, Victoria Street, Cedar Avenue, Marsh Folly Road, Dutton Avenue to Bernard Park.
“Parade Route: Starting on Pitt’ Bay Road and heading in an easterly direction on Front Street, Hamilton, then parade participants will follow a route within Hamilton as agreed upon by the City of Hamilton. The parade route will continue along the streets in the City and then exit on Cedar Avenue, travelling in a northerly direction towards Marsh Folly Road, easterly along Marsh Folly Road to Dutton Avenue, south along Dutton Avenue until reaching the Bernard Park Field where the Parade Route will conclude.”
