Garbage Collection Schedule For Holiday
The Ministry of Public Works is advising that “due to National Heroes Day on Monday, June 19, household waste collection will follow a roll-over schedule.”
A Government spokesperson said, “On roll-over weeks, waste collection days fall back by one day, resulting in waste usually collected on Monday, picked up on Tuesday, Tuesday waste on Wednesday, Thursday’s on Friday, and Friday’s waste collected on Saturday.
“Members of the public may also use the Tynes Bay Public Drop-off, which is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. [7 a.m. – 12 p.m. during public holidays] to dispose of household waste, tin, aluminium, and glass bottles [TAG recyclables], hazardous materials such as paints and pesticides, and bulky burnable and non-burnable items.
“This service is also free and open to drivers of private cars, L and LP vehicles only.
