Golf: Stand-Alone Event Status Drives Demand
The Butterfield Bermuda Championship, with its confirmed dates of November 9-12 and stand-alone status on the PGA TOUR FedExCup Fall schedule, has “allowed the tournament to see growth in hospitality sales and corporate sponsorships.”
A spokesperson said, “This fall, the tournament will showcase a new hospitality structure that is currently being sold to corporations and large groups in Bermuda and internationally. The new structure, named the Overlook, will offer a stellar vantage point of golf, positioned between the 9th and 18th holes at Port Royal Golf Course.
“The Overlook venue will be added to accompany the Longtail Club, the tournaments premier space located directly behind the 18th green, and the Digicel Business Ocean Club which is the upgraded ticket option that is situated at Port Royal’s iconic 16th hole.
“In addition to a new hospitality venue, the tournament has also introduced another opportunity to play along side a PGA TOUR professional. Historically, the Official Wednesday Pro-Am presented by Butterfield has been the most popular way to entertain clients or friends in style. Due to overwhelming demand surrounding the Wednesday Pro-Am, the tournament has introduced a second pro-am to be played on Monday of tournament week.”
“We are thrilled to see the demand for participation surrounding the Butterfield Bermuda Championship continue to increase. The addition of the Monday Pro-Am will provide more companies, both locally and internationally, the chance to take part in our most popular and in-demand product associated with the event.” said Tournament Director, Danielle Carrera,
“On course hospitality will also see an addition this year. The Overlook venue is nearing a sell out already with only 1 package remaining available for purchase. We encourage interested parties to reach out to our team to secure their involvement, we do anticipate opportunities to sell out in the near future.”
The spokesperson said, “Parties interested in purchasing hospitality, pro-am, or sponsorship packages should reach out to Jevon Roberts at jroberts@butterfieldbdachampionship.com.
