CAC Update: Cycling, Track & Swimming
Bermuda cyclist Kaden Hopkins narrowly missed out on a medal after coming fourth in the men’s road race at the Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador, El Salvador, yesterday [July 7].
Hopkins, who placed sixth in the time-trial on Wednesday, finished the course in 3hr 51min 13sec. He was just a second behind third-place Dorian Monterroso, of Guatemala [3:51:12].
Conor White, who already won bronze in the time-trial, came ninth in the road race in 3:51:13.
Meanwhile, Caitlin Conyers, who won bronze in the women’s time-trial, finished fourteenth in the road race in 2:52:21.
Jah-Nhai Perinchief finished seventh in the men’s triple jump final yesterday with a leap of 15.66 metres.
Bermuda finished with a haul of six medals from the Games, with the medal winners listed below:
