Police Confirm: Man Dies After Collision
The police have confirmed that a male motorcycle rider has died following a collision early this morning [Aug 28], marking the 12th road fatality of the year
A spokesperson said, “Around 1:55a.m. Monday, 28th August, 2023, Police and other emergency personnel were dispatched to a reported single vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcycle on Middle Road, Devonshire, just east of the junction with Shelton Road.
“The male motorcycle rider was found unresponsive, with a serious head injury.
“Life saving measures were commenced at the scene and the victim was subsequently transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
“Sadly, he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. This marks the island’s twelfth road fatality for this year.
“No further information will be provided until all next of kin have been informed.”
