Charity Cup & Dudley Eve Schedule Released
The official schedule for the upcoming Charity Cup and Dudley Group Phase has been released.
A spokesperson said, “The anticipation for the 2023/24 football season continues to build as the official schedule for the upcoming Charity Cup and Dudley Group Phase has been released. Football enthusiasts around the island are eagerly awaiting the clash of champions and the intense battles among the Premier Division teams in what promises to be a thrilling series of matches.
Charity Cup Highlights Season Kick-off
“The Charity Cup, a prestigious event that opens the domestic Senior Men’s League, will see the 2022/23 Premier Division League Champions, PHC Zebras, and the FA Cup Champions, NVCC Rams face each other on Sunday, September 3, 2023. The match is set to take place at the Devonshire Recreation Club, kicking off at 8:00 p.m. This year’s season opener will determine which Club will secure the Charity Cup title for the 8th time.
“As of April 3, 2023, the BFA archival records indicate that PHC and NVCC have each won this match 7 times. A win for NVCC sees them tying PHC for the total number of trophies. A win for PHC will secure their title as Most Trophies for a Club. There is a lot to play for next month.
“This year’s season opener match will not only showcase the remarkable skills of the respective champions but will also contribute to a noble charitable cause, embodying the spirit of sportsmanship both on and off the field. Proceeds from this year’s match will be donated to aid the production costs of the Clyde Best Documentary film which is in its final stages of production. The film is set to be released in 2024.

Dudley Eve Group Phase Structure
“The Premier Division is set to kick off with an invigorating start as the 2023/24 Dudley Eve groups and matches are confirmed. The competition started with group stage play, followed by a playoff before the knockout stage begins. The ten [10] participating teams were distributed into Groups based on the 2022/23 Bermuda Football Association Senior Men’s Premier Division Standings as of March 20, 2023, as follows:
Group A:
- Pembroke Hamilton Club
- North Village Community Club
- X-Roads Warriors Football Club
- Young Men’s Social Club
Group B:
- Devonshire Recreation Club
- Hamilton Parish Workmen’s Club
- Somerset Cricket Club
Group C:
- St. George’s Cricket Club
- Western Stars Sports Club [Dandy Town]
- Paget Football Club
Dudley Eve Group Phase Schedule
“As football fever sweeps the nation, the excitement escalates with the commencement of the Dudley Eve Group Phase matches. From September 4 to September 20, a total of 12 captivating matches are set to take place. These matches promise intense competition, exceptional displays of skill, and fervent support from fans eager to witness their favorite teams in action.
“All Dudley Eve Group Phase matches will take place at Bernard’s Park, Devonshire Recreation Club, Goose Gosling Field, and Pembroke Hamilton Club.
