BNA Announce Nursing Scholarship Recipients
The Bermuda Nurse Association [BNA] announced the recipients of its 2023 scholarships, with Alaiyah Hayward, Mary Smith, Nadine Blake, Cusheah Smith, Dejhi McKoy, and Deann Trott all earning scholarships.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Nurse Association [BNA] is pleased to announce its 2023 scholarship recipients. The Executive Committee provided funds to support the undergraduate education of 2 student nurses, and the post-graduate studies of 4 Registered Nurses.
“The scholarship recipients were addressed by Renee Faulcon, 2023 Nurse of the Year/ BNA Executive Committee member where she emphasized nursing as one of the most dynamic professions. She stated, ‘You can find nurses successfully impacting the health care system across various specialties.’ This year the BNA increased the financial support provided to the scholarship recipients and are grateful to the Chubb Charitable Foundation along with donations from the community.
“The BNA actively promotes the nursing profession through community service and support of professional development.”
