Schedule For Local Golf Qualifiers Announced
The Bermuda Golf Association, Bermuda Professional Golfers’ Association, and tournament officials have confirmed the schedule for the Local Qualifier for the Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Golf Association [BGA], Bermuda Professional Golfers’ Association [BPGA], and tournament officials are pleased to announce the Local Qualifier for this year’s Butterfield Bermuda Championship will be played Tuesday, October 17 and Wednesday, October 18 with Thursday, October 19 reserved as a rain day.
“The format will remain as a 54-hole event, with 36-holes played on Tuesday, October 17 and the final 18 holes on Wednesday, October 18.
“Round 1 Tee Times are as follows:
- 7:40 AM: Christopher Grantier & Arriek Douglas
- 7:50 AM: Scott Roy, Christian Collins & Oliver Betschart
- 8:00 AM: Jarryd Dillas, Chaka Desilva & Will Haddrell
- 8:10 AM: Dwayne Pearman, Nicholas Jones & Justin Watts
- 8:20 AM: Damian Palanyandi, Camiko Smith & Eric West
- 8:30 AM: Quinton Sherlock, Christopher Smith & Andrew Trott-Francis
- 8:40 AM: Jamie Macmillan, Makie De Souza & OJ Pitcher
- 8:50 AM: Jeffery Lindo & Lester Cox
“Spectators are encouraged to cheer on their twenty-two [22] Bermudians at Port Royal Golf Course as they compete for three [3] spots in Bermuda’s PGA TOUR event and three [3] spots in the Butterfield Bermuda APGA Championship.
“This morning the tournament has also announced that 4-time Bermudian Qualifier and 4-time Low Bermudian, Michael Sims, will receive a sponsor’s exemption into this year’s tournament. Michael’s exemption will be in addition to the three [3] Bermudian’s who qualify through the local qualifier.”
