Madeiros Selected For Rush National Elite Team

Teenage Bermudian footballer Jacob Madeiros has been selected to the Rush National Elite team after scoring a hat-trick at a recent regional event in Florida.
Rush is an international football organisation with more than 125 partner youth and professional clubs in 50 countries.
Madeiros, 16, represented a Rush select team at the regional tournament, which provided an opportunity for players to showcase themselves against some of the top nationally ranked academies.
His team drew 2-2 in their first game in which he scored, lost 6-0 in their second before winning 4-1 in their final outing, with Madeiros netting a hat-trick.
The attacking player, whose family moved to the United States more than seven years ago, captains the May River High School varsity team in Bluffton, South Carolina.
