Saltus Win BSSF Primary Boys A Championships
Saltus Grammar School was crowned Bermuda School Sports Federation’s Primary School Boy’s A Division Six-A-Side champions at the Clyde Best Centre of Excellence after a 3 – 0 final win over Francis Patton.
Chance Franks opened the scoring for Saltus in the first minute of the final after powering his way through the defense and beating the goalkeeper. Franks doubled the lead early in the second half after a fine pass from Roman Gaglio. Gaglio would round out the scoring with a fine individual effort.
Saltus defeated Purvis Primary 2-0 in their semi-final with Franks scoring a double with both being assisted by Gaglio.
Francis Patton reached the final after overcoming Prospect Primary 3-1 in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 tie. Francis Patton took the lead in the first half when Thailon Pogson was the first to pounce on a loose ball in the box. Shiloh Stevens equalized in the second half after an individual run that started in his own half.
