Bermudian footballer Jacob Madeiros and his Bluffton Rush teammates have advanced to the state championship, with the young Bermudian scoring to help his team claim victories.
Madeiros plays for the Bluffton Rush 05/06 team, which has advanced to the state championship, which will be played in mid-December.
On Saturday, the team traveled to Charleston, where they beat Surf by a score to 4 to 1. Madeiros scored in that match, and the following day he scored a penalty in another match to help his team win that match and their division.
