School Football: BSSF Knock-Out Finals Results
Nine finals took place at the National Sports Center North Field as the Bermuda School Sports Federation held their annual School Football Knock Out Cup Finals.
Primary School Girls Division 2 Final: St. George’s Preparatory 3 Prospect Primary 2
Kierra Broadley-Samuels scored a hat trick for St. George’s Prep earning herself MVP honors. Prospect Primary for goals from Ma’Layah Swan and MVP Ki’Ana Simmons.
Primary School Boys Division 2 Final: East End Primary/St. David’s Primary 2 Dalton E Tucker 1
Zaden Furbert-Downs and Keadon Burch each scored for the East Enders with Shanzae Smith scoring for Dalton E Tucker. MVPs for the final were Furbert-Downs and Jahzi Swan for Dalton E Tucker.
Primary School Girls Division 1 Final: Bermuda High School 0 [2] Warwick Academy 0 [3]
BHS and Warwick Academy played to a scoreless draw during regulation time. Warwick would go on to win 3-2 on penalty kicks. BHS goalkeeper Vivian Leach was named MVP along with Evie Brogden from Warwick Academy.
Primary School Boys Division 1 Final: Saltus Grammar School 5 Warwick Academy 0
Roman Gaglio scored four times to lead Saltus to the Primary School Boys Division 1 Final. Ben McQueen scored the fifth with the last kick of the match. Gaglio was named MVP along with Jahkari Burgess- Samuels for Warwick Academy
Middle School Under 13 Boys Final: Saltus Grammar School 5 Warwick Academy 0
Saltus Grammar School won the Under 13 Division after shutting out Warwick Academy 5-0. Conor O’Sullivan and Mack Browne gave Saltus a halftime lead. Chaz Edmead, Jace Postlethwaite and Adam Barritt rounded out the scoring for Saltus before Chavi Pacheco-Hill scored a consolation goal for Warwick Academy. O’Sullivan was named MVP for Saltus along with Sami Luber for Warwick Academy.
Middle School Girls Final: Bermuda High School 2 Warwick Academy 1
Erica Singleton and Avery Johnson were both on target early in the first half for BHS. Riley Khan pulled one back for Warwick Academy but that was as close as they got as the match ended 2-1. Taylor was named MVP for BHS with Nila Samuels for Warwick.
Middle School Over 13 Boys Final: Warwick Academy 5 Sandys Secondary Middle School 3
Zydon Lughtbourne scored twice either side of halftime to lead all scorers with four goals. The teams exchanged goals before Warwick pulled away late in the game. Za’Zhari Ingham also scored for Warwick while Riley Martin scored twice for Sandy’s along with Decon Wade. Martin and Lightbourne-Furbert were named MVPs for the match
Senior School Under 16 Final: CedarBridge Academy 4 The Berkeley Institute 1
MVP Harlem Bean-Fox scored twice to lead CedarBridge Academy to a 4-1 win over the Berkeley Institute. Captain Dakayo Leverock and Dakari Smith-Davis also scored for CedarBridge. Berkeley’s lone goal came courtesy of Patrick Dill. D’ari Coddington was named Berkeley MVP
Senior School Over 16 Final: The Berkeley Institute 5 Mount Saint Agnes Academy 2
The Berkeley Institute scored early and never looked back in defeating Mount Saint Agnes 5-2 in the nights featured match. Daion Swan Dasilva scored a hat trick to lead Berkeley to victory. Rajae Whitter and Jadon Roberts added goals for Berkeley. Marcus Duarte and Sami Carolo scored for MSA. Swan DeSilva was named MVP along with his North Village teammate Anihajhe Santos from MSA.
