Men Arrested In Connection With Murder
The police have made arrests in connection with the murder of Wilfred Outerbridge Jr, and they also executed a firearms warrant at a location in St George where “two firearms were recovered, along with several rounds of ammunition, a quantity of suspected controlled drugs and an amount of cash.”
Warrant Executed, 26-Year-Old Man Arrested
A police spokesperson said, “On Friday, December 1st, 2023, police executed a firearms warrant at a Smith’s Parish residence as part of the ongoing investigation into the murder of Mr. Wilfred Outerbridge Jr. A 26-year-old male was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and items liable for seizure recovered.
Vessel Intercepted, Second Man Arrested
“A second suspect, also a 26-year-old male, who was being sought in connection with the murder of Mr. Outerbridge, was arrested when police officers assisted by the Royal Bermuda Regiment Coast Guard, intercepted a vessel in Bermuda’s waters, shortly after 12:30 p.m. on the same day.
“Both men were transported to the Hamilton Police Station where they were processed and detained. They were subsequently bailed pending further investigations.
“Wilfred Outerbridge, a father of three, was shot while at his Railway Trail, Warwick, residence, around 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21st. He later succumbed to his injuries at hospital.
28-Year-Old Man Arrested, Two Firearms, Cash, Drugs Recovered
“On Saturday, December 2nd, police executed a firearms warrant at a location in St George.
“Two firearms were recovered, along with several rounds of ammunition, a quantity of suspected controlled drugs and an amount of cash.
“A 28-year-old male has been arrested and bailed in relation to the seizure of these items.
