LeiLanni Nesbeth Wins NCAA Title With FSU
LeiLanni Nesbeth ended her college football career on a high after helping Florida State University [FSU] win their fourth NCAA Championship title and third in the past six seasons.
Nesbeth helped No-1 ranked FSU thrash Stanford 5-1 in the final at the WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina, last night [December 4].
It was the biggest championship win since 2003, with the Seminoles [22-0-1] also becoming the first undefeated champions since 2011 when Stanford won with a 23-0 record.
Nesbeth, 22, adds to the national title she won with FSU in 2021.
The Bermuda women’s national team will look to call upon the attacking midfielder if they advance to the Concacaf W Gold Cup qualifying play-offs by winning group C League B.
Bermuda, who lead the group by one point, face the Dominican Republic away in their final qualifier tonight.
