Kempe, Patton Finish Australian Championships
Sebastian Kempe and Campbell Patton wrapped up their participation in the Oceania & Australian Open & Youth Laser Championships 2024, hosted by the George’s River Sailing Club.
The final day witnessed the completion of four races, with Kempe competing in the gold fleet. His strongest performance of the day was a 38th-place finish, securing him the 48th position overall with 246 net points.
In the under-21 division, Theodor Middelthon from Norway secured first place with 101 net points, while Kempe claimed the second spot. Caleb Armit from New Zealand finished third with 263 net points.
Meanwhile, Patton, competing in the silver fleet, finished in 8th place with 140 net points. Notably, he clinched victory in the first race on the final day.
