Creatives Culture Labs Workshops To Be Held
The Department of Culture has announced the continuation of its professional development workshops for the creative community, Creatives Culture Labs, now in its second year.
The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, Owen Darrell shared, “These workshops are aimed at enhancing the skills of creatives at all levels and offer valuable opportunities for growth and networking.”
The Government spokesperson said, “Registration is free; however, participants are required to register on creatives.bm to qualify. The workshops welcome creatives from all skill levels, fostering an inclusive environment for learning and collaboration.”
Minister Darrell added, “In 2023, 100% of attendees reported that they acquired new knowledge and 93% expressed satisfaction with the networking opportunities provided. The overwhelming positive feedback is testament to our commitment to supporting and nurturing the creative community in Bermuda.”
The Government spokesperson said, “The upcoming workshops cover a diverse range of topics designed to cater to various interests within the creative community. Highlights include headshot sessions, building creative portfolios/resumes, practical discussions on preparing art for shows, mastering Canva, seeing life cinematically, podcast creation, sound engineering basics, applying for Bermuda Arts Council funding, Bermuda Day float building, overcoming writer’s block, event hosting/MCing, acting for film auditions, and budgeting for large-scale events. Due to high demand, some are already fully-subscribed.”
Minister Darrell concluded, “The Department of Culture remains committed to empowering creatives and fostering a supportive environment for skill development and networking.”
