Dame Flora Duffy Joins T100 Triathlon Tour
Dame Flora Duffy will line up alongside the top 15 women’s triathletes in the rebranded T100 Triathlon World Tour this year.
Jointly launched by the Professional Triathletes Organisation [PTO] and governing body World Triathlon, the T100 will feature eight 100-kilometre races and include a prize pot worth $7 million, with each race having a $250,000 prize fund, including $25,000 for the winner.
The races, aimed at Ironman-distance and Olympic-distance triathletes, will comprise a 2km swim, 80km bike, and 18km, lasting around three hours.
The series, featuring 40 of the world’s highest-ranked triathletes, starts in Miami in March before heading to Singapore, California, London, Ibiza, Las Vegas, and Dubai, culminating in a Grand Final in a Middle East venue to be confirmed, where the men’s and women’s champions will be crowned.
Duffy, who did not compete in any race last year because of a long-term knee injury, hopes to defend her Olympic title in Paris, France, this summer.
