Local Archers To Compete In Las Vegas Shoot
Five local archers will aim for strong performances at the Las Vegas Shoot, which starts today [February 2] at the South Point Hotel and Casino.
Jaydon Roberts, Camerin Pickering, Bernard Wade III, and Robert O’Conner will compete in the men’s recurve flights and Robin Selley in the recurve young adult female.
The three-day competition is the largest and most prestigious indoor archery competition in the world, with almost 4,000 competitors ranging from beginner to Olympic champions participating.
Wade III claimed a silver in the WA men’s 1440 recurve and bronze in the men’s recurve head-to-head knockout at the NatWest International Island Games in Guernsey, the Channel Islands, last summer.
Meanwhile, Pickering impressed in the men’s 70 metres recurve at the Hyundai Archery World Stage 4 in Paris, France, last summer.
